    Earth Elements Mat

Posted by Laura on May 2nd 2023

I like the quality of this mat and the thickness . I had my last Hugger Mugger mat for several years. The only issue I’m having is one end doesn’t lay flat and keeps rolling up on me when I try to use it .

After A Few Years It Has Cracks

Posted by Ishka on Sep 1st 2022

I use this mat just 2-4 times a month and it stays in my living room. I'm surprised that after a few years of light use it has cracks developing in it. I liked this mat before I knew it wouldn't last too long.

    Best Mat Ever

Posted by Julia Becker on Nov 1st 2020

I love these Earth Elements mats because they are nontoxic, biodegradable and they are also my very favorite practice mat. They keep their stick for standing vinyasas and backbends. It doesn't stink or feel nasty next to skin, great colors, and they hold up super well! I've been practicing on a couple of these, one 5mm and one 3mm, for many years regularly and still am. I purchase them for my students also - my favorite for years.

    Falling Apart After 5 Months

Posted by Kelsey on Jun 2nd 2020

I received this mat as a gift. At first I really liked it! It was thick enough to pad my knees on a hard floor and I liked how grippy it was in various poses. However, I have only had it for about 5 months, using it 2-4 times a week, and it’s already falling apart. It’s like the top layer is separating from the bottom layer and it bubbles and wraps up around my foot in poses like warrior one and two and the rubber has started to peel off so my hands slip in down dog. Sooo disappointing!! Now I have to get a new yoga mat when I haven’t even had this for 1 year. I would not recommend this mat.

    Good Quality

Posted by AJ on Apr 1st 2020

I liked it. I think it would be nice if it was a little thinker like 6 instead of 5 since I have a hard wood floor and sometimes I want a big more cushion.

Best Grip I've Found, Perfect Thickness

Posted by Jamie on Sep 5th 2019

This is the best mat I've found for grip/non-slip. It's grippy, but it doesn't dry out my hands, which my Jade yoga mat did (the Jade one was quite grippy but it also dried out whatever skin touched it). The smell of a new Earth Elements mat is not strong and goes away quicky (again, as opposed to my Jade mat, whose rubber smell is still strong after 4 months). And the thickness (5mm) works very well for me. I have sensitive knees so I have previously tried a much thicker mat, but thicker than 5mm is hard on my wrists in downward dog.

    Product Does Not Lie

Posted by Mlee on Aug 15th 2019

I have tried almost every snazzy yoga mat on the market including Jade. Who does not sweat? I hate heavy yoga mats....Yoga is supposed to be relaxing. I love that it is biodegradable. Don't believe Amazon reviews on this, most likely paid in order to point you toward other stuff. LOVE this mat.
