Zafu Meditation Cushion

I have been very pleased with this purchase! I had been noticing back pain during my meditation practice and this cushion has helped a lot with reducing that pain. It's well made, firm and attractive as well. I would absolutely recommend it.

I just took out all the buckwheat hulls and put my black zafu cover through the wash. I should have done this a long time ago, I guess. Now, it is good as new. I am impressed to start a second life after 20 years. I will have to patch a couple of small areas of the seam because I have been using it bursting full the whole time, I could have relaxed it a little by removing some of the fill and have done so now. The price shows just what I paid in 1990 at my local store. Love this.

We own four of these! Cushions are extremely comfortable. So, you can sit for a very long time!

Purchased two of these for use at home after using them at a local studio. They are so comfortable for breath work and meditation. They are wonderfully made, and I can tell they will last a long time. Highly recommend!

I really like this cushion. I like it so much I use it outside of meditation. The handle makes it super easy to pick up without hassle and it's very comfortable to sit on.

It felt like such a luxury to buy a cushion “just for meditating.” I’m perfectly capable of sitting on the floor to meditate. But this cushion is such a delight! I look forward to the start of meditation practice because of how well aligned my body feels. It is truly a gift to myself.

I ordered the bolster, the Zafu meditation cushion and the silk eye pillow. They are well made and worth the price.

My first fits I sits was a rolled up blanket, for years, then I found some small 2x4s screwed together with a blanket wrapped around it works pretty well, then an old roommate and great friend gifted me his old Zafu cushion, I thought that this was an upgrade and again for years... stacks of blankets on top, just making it work and it worked. Buuuut, then I sat on one of Hugger Mugger's Zafu cushions aaaand I turned around and bought one, no more rigging for sitting. Now I sit and smile. I am elated to have this Zafu. It is well built and I can trust that I will be sitting on this for years to come. I know also where I will turn for gifts!

This is my second Hugger Mugger meditation cushion. My first one is still in use as well, however I had to learn how to deep clean it, where you empty out all the seeds, wash the cover, then put them back. It was much easier than I expected and the texture of the seeds is extremely fascinating. The filling used by these cushions gives them a very perfect balance. I would also stay away from less expensive manufacturers like you'd find on Amazon as the seeds are food and without proper warehousing practices they can get bugs in them. No such issue with these cushions!
