Great travel mat! It is beautiful and light and barely takes up any space in the suit case. I have been using it on top of carpeted floor so it is nice and soft. I have owned multiple Yoga Design Lab mats, but this is my first travel mat from the company. I was not disappointed. Keep in mind, these mats are for travel and are thin for a reason.

Great mat has good grip is very dense and heavy feels like it should last a long time. Because of the density it is comfortable for floor postures and gives better stability for standing postures. With this mat you will still need a towel over the mat for hot yoga as it dose not absorb any sweet. Washes easily in the washing machine but still takes time to air dry.

I'll admit it, I get sweaty hands and feet when I do yoga - and it's not a bikram class. I've tried gym gloves - can be sore, and yoga towels - gets twisted under hands and feet when doing flows, so I researched to find a mat with a surface that would help me grip. This works well, and is super stylish. Some reviews say they wash theirs, but I've yet to try that and don't want to ruin the mat if it doesn't work! It's not the cheapest - I spent many years denying the advantage of a mat over a one - but it's been well worth it. I no longer slip and slide in my downward dog as my palms become sweatier than a public inquiry

I love these mats, I have 3. They are beautiful and totally non-slip. I take hot vinyasa flow classes 4 x a week so they get a bunch of use. I generally wait about 2-3 weeks and then toss them in the washer with dreft and air-dry. One tip, if you roll them up with the soft side on the inside (you'll see only the black rubber) it makes them dry better and they don't get so stinky. I keep them in my car so I can choose a design depending on my mood. I haven't ever owned a sticky mat, though, but I always see people who have those using a towel too, and that just looks annoying to me.
