    Overall Good Product

Posted by KG on Apr 13th 2017

The mat itself is great. However, there was a Hugger Mugger tag at the end of the mat. When I went to take it off, it was extremely sticky and ripped the end of the mat.

    Not Grippy Enough

Posted by Peter on Apr 13th 2017

The mat is soft and spongy, which I like, but I can't get a good grip with my feet in downward dog. They keep sliding, which is not good. Maybe over time the mat will get grippier. I hope so.

    Does the Job

Posted by GDavid on Apr 13th 2017

As a new yogi, I wanted a mat that would do the job without having to spending a lot of money. The mat is thinner than what I have been renting at the yoga studio that I attend to so it's not as comfortable on my knees. It's fine for now, but I'll probably be upgrading to a thicker, sturdier mat as I advanced in yoga. If you're new to yoga or looking for a mat to invest in for a good chunk of time, I'd go with a thicker mat rather than having to replace a thinner mat. You'll have to shell out the same amount in the end.

    It Is Good!

Like it so far out of the box. For me it was time for a new mat, so I ordered extra cushioning and really enjoy the NON SLIP feature.

    Love My Products

I have this Ultra Mat and I love it! It does not absorb liquids and I love it for Hot Yoga! I also have the blocks and they are so perfect! Thank you Hugger Mugger!

Wonderful, Long-Lasting Quality After Ten Years of Use!

Posted by Nina on Apr 13th 2017

Purchased my Tapas Ultra mat ten years ago for the extra length and thickness. It continues to perform very well. I teach and have my practice indoors. Easy to clean, dries well overnight, is sticky, does not decompose and break up like the other eco-friendly mats currently on the market. Am very pleased, and recommend it to my students. Have no qualms whatsoever.

    Mat Has No Endurance

Posted by Raven on Apr 13th 2017

My last mat lasted at least 12 years and probably could have gone longer. The Tapas Ultra mat started developing holes, or shredding, at six months. I am very disappointed. It is not going to last long.

    Happy Customer

Posted by Dancersuz on Apr 13th 2017

I have had my indigo color Tapas Ultra mat for two years and I love it. I do yoga class about two times a week and my mat still looks as good as new. It is still fairly sticky and it has no tears or holes. I love the slight amount of cushioning it gives me. When you step on it or place your hand on it it leaves an impression for 5-10 seconds – which has never affected it's use, just something I was initially surprised about. I have used both the Ultra and the regular mats, I prefer the ultra for the cushion and non-slip surface. If my hands are sweating or feel slippery, I fold the top of mat under about 4 inches and then use the bump to help keep my hands in place. Overall I would (and have) recommended this mat to my friends.

    Do Not Recommend

Posted by MMan on Apr 13th 2017

As I was using the product for the first time, I noticed it did not return to its original shape. This started with the knee imprints after a child's pose to future hand and foot imprints. When I unrolled it three days later for my next yoga session many of the imprints remained. After two sessions, the mat looks like it been to eternity and back! At least it's sticky and doesn't slide. However, I'm ordering a different mat ASAP and am asking to return this one.
