Love This Mat – Great Grip, Even Without Water!
I LOOOOVE this mat! They suggest spraying it with a water bottle to get it a bit wet so it grips better right off the bat, but I didn't bother to and it worked well enough for me. Grips even better when you sweat! This makes a world of difference for me in my yoga practice as I am a very sweaty and slide-y individual once I get going. I've used this a couple of times already and have not slipped once! The design of the mat is so pretty (I got the blue Aztec one) and has a nice feel to it. Heavy. It is machine washable but I will be hand washing it.

Excellent Customer Service Despite Slippery Mat Experience
I'm giving Yoga Design Lab 5 stars for their customer service. I bought this mat and unfortunately it was not a match with me. I found it to be dangerously slippery and had trouble getting into my poses even after spraying it with water as recommended. Of course, that is just my experience and as evidenced by other reviews, it's just something that a person needs to see for themselves. With that said, Yoga Design Lab reached out to me to check up on my purchase and I voiced my concerns. They were extremely professional, kind, and worked with me in finding solutions to the issue. At the end, I was refunded the mat, but I left with a happy spirit and know that I will look through their other products. Yoga Design Lab clearly cares about their customers. They are not just another corp trying to make a buck.

Ideal for Travel Pilates - Folds Easily and Pretty Design
I bought this to do Pilates when I travel for work. Portability was the goal, and this fits the bill. It easily folds to fit in my luggage. It's very pretty and plenty long. It is very thin; so, if padding is more important to you, this may not be a good choice. If you are looking for portability, however, this is a great choice.

Ultimate Go-To Mat for Sweaty Practices: Thin, Portable, and Highly Effective
Not a regular reviewer of internet-purchased products, but felt compelled to review this excellent yoga mat. I am a tall guy (6'4") with a regular and extremely sweaty yoga practice. This has become my go to mat (also have Jade and Lululemon mats).Reading the negative reviews here and there are two points that need to be made clear. If you are cognizant of the below two properties of the mat and know they will not inhibit your practice, you will be hard-pressed to find a better mat for your money:1) This is a very thin mat (1.5 mm) probably best geared toward an advanced practitioner as it's not very forgiving on your body like a more traditional mat would be. That being said this mat is extremely portable.2) When dry this mat is extremely slick. It has a moleskin or a microfiber/suede texture and it's definitely not supportive of a down dog or similar spreading pose when dry. At the start of every practice I pour a good amount of water on the front and back of the towel which completely resolves this issue and the mat becomes sticky to the point where down dog is once again a resting pose. There is a critical point of sweatiness where the grip diminishes, but this is true for ALL yoga mats; I am typically the sweatiest person in class so this will not be an issue for the vast majority of people.I have never machine-washed this mat, just rinse it off in the shower and hang-dry it, and have not run into any durability issues.

Perfect for Any Yoga Practice
This mat is awesome for any yoga practice. If you need a mat for a hot flow class or a slower at home practice, it's literally perfect. It's soft and padded well. With certain positions on other mats my knees can get sore, but this mat helps with that a lot! I also don't slide on it like I do on other mats because of the material. I highly recommend investing in these mats.
